We live in a day and age where it seems that respect for elders isn't as important as it once was.
It's nice when you get the chance to see a young man, who has been raised the right way. It's also nice when you see such a young man be successful.
Such was the case Wednesday night in Benton Harbor when Peyton Manning took the stage as the featured speaker for the Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan.
Manning has been raised the right way and you can tell by the way he speaks and by the way he acts.
You will probably not find a nicer or harder working young man, who seemingly has it all.
Manning not only is a professional football player, but the quarterback of the World Champion Indianapolis Colts. Manning led his team to victory back in February and was named the game's Most Valuable Player as a result.
Manning is the type of person you would want to follow. He is confident, but not cocky. He is poised under pressure and has no problem taking others under his wing and helping them reach their potential.
It's not like Peyton is a fluke either. His parents Archie and Olivia Manning have raised three great kids. Older brother Cooper and younger brother Eli are both outstanding individuals as well.
We are not big on role celebrity, but if your son or daughter wants someone to look up to that is famous, then Peyton Manning is a great choice.
