Vikes hand Bees 6-2 loss Tuesday

NILES – Visiting Bridgman was sent home with a 6-2 loss Tuesday as the Niles varsity tennis team added a non-conference win to its record.
The Vikings suffered its only two losses at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
Danny Rodts was defeated by Eric Clark, 6-3, 4-6, 6-7, while Jordan Parks and Zack Herrmann fell to Tyler Fisher and Blake Barker, 7-6, 6-3.
Julian Freas took a 6-3, 6-2 win over Andrew D'Agostino at No. 2 singles.
No. 3 singles saw Nate Fink take a 6-0, 6-0 win over Tyler Allen and Josh Pugh grabbed a 7-6, 7-6 win over Charlie Pawlick at No. 4 singles.
At No. 2 doubles, Tad Raven and Zach Payne were victorious over Ethan Schaller and Aaron Klug, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
Scott Bailey and Julius Roessner took a 6-2, 6-3 win over Ian Strebeck and Max Sukupchak at No. 3 doubles and Kyle Lee and Jon Rothfuchs defeated Jared Tupzyski and Ryan Ruff, 3-6, 6-4, 6-0.
The Vikings are scheduled to visit Mattawan today at 4:30 p.m.
