The magical run of the NCAA basketball tournaments are about to come to an end.
The men's tournament will find out who will battle for the 2007 championship on Saturday night, while the women will decide their two combatants for the crown on Sunday.
Atlanta and Cleveland are the place to be if you love college basketball.
The men's tournament is being held at the Georgia Dome with defending champion Florida, Ohio State, Georgetown and UCLA in town for the Final Four.
Georgetown will take on Ohio State in the first game at 6:07 p.m., while the champion Florida Gators will take on UCLA in the nightcap at 8:47 p.m.
Florida has been made the favorite by the odds makers, but anyone could win the title on Monday night.
The men's tournament has not had the dramatic upsets, but that doesn't mean there haven't been exciting games.
The lowest seed to reach the "Sweet 16" was a No. 7, so things have gone pretty much as scripted by the tournament selection committee.
What we have lacked in upsets has been made up for by some quality basketball games with great finishes.
There have not been as many buzzer-beaters this year, but many of the games have come down to the final minute with the outcome still in doubt.
Over on the women's side of things, there are some rather familiar names in the Final Four in Cleveland.
Tennessee, LSU, Rutgers and North Carolina will play for the right to advance to Tuesday night's title game.
The Lady Vols are back in the Final Four once again and trying to end a championship drought.
They will take on North Carolina in the second game on Sunday night. Tip-off is slated for 9:30 p.m.
Rutgers has been the surprise team of the women's tournament. The Scarlet Knights will take on LSU, which is making its fourth consecutive trip to the Final Four.
Those two schools will square off in the opener at 7 p.m.
Women's basketball has come a long way. In some ways it is more entertaining that the men's game.
Women still play the game with fundamentals. While they certainly can shoot the three-point shot with the best of them, and occasionally you get a dunk, they play a team-oriented game that demands discipline and defense.
So get the refrigerator loaded up with plenty of cold beverages and fill up those snack bowls.
This weekend will provide us with action and excitement.
