Donald H. Kirkendall, 83, of Beechwood Drive, Niles, died at 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Lakeland Hospital, Niles, following a brief illness.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 26, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, concelebrated by the Rev. William T. Melody of Notre Dame, Ind., Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Niles, concluding with the Veteran's flag presentation and "Taps".
The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, with evening prayers at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions in the memory of Donald H. Kirkendall may be made to Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Niles, or to the donor's choice.
