Brandywine bond meeting Tuesday

NILES – Brandywine Community Schools is holding community meetings and open houses to provide the public a chance to gather information about the district's bond campaign.
Brandywine is proposing on the May 8 election ballot a reauthorization of 4.85 mills to generate $5.75 million for a period of 25 years.
The community meetings will be held to present the scope of the bond, explain the bond proposal and provide opportunity for questions and tours of the buildings.
On Tuesday, March 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., a meeting will be held in the Brandywine Middle/High School media center. The Brandywine Elementary meeting will be on Wednesday, April 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the media center.
Additionally, open houses at Merritt Elementary, Brandywine Elementary and the Middle/High School will be Thursday, March 29. The open house at the Middle/High school is from noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Merritt Elementary and Brandywine Elementary will also hold two sessions, the first from 12:45 to 3:45 p.m. and a second from 5 to 8 p.m.
These are the times scheduled for parent/teacher conferences, but community members are also invited to come in, tour the buildings to see recent renovations and proposed renovations and ask questions regarding the bond proposal or the scope of the project.
