NILES – Brandywine's Warren Watson and Buchanan's Marquis Hall have been chosen as the Niles Daily Star Athletes of the Week for Jan. 15-20.
Watson, a 135-pound wrestler on the Bobcats' team, sealed the victory for the Brandywine in Buchanan on Jan. 17 with a pin of Edwardsburg's Ryan Ackles to bump the team's score to 39-30 with just one match remaining.
Hall, a member of the Bucks' varsity basketball team, continues to be a dominate player and leading scorer for Buchanan. On friday, Jan. 19, Hall led all scorers on the night with 17 points in a huge win against Edwardsburg.
