NILES – Player registration for the 2007 season of the Optimist Soccer League is in progress. Registration forms are being distributed to all Niles and Buchanan area elementary schools and are available at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA. Players must currently be in regular kindergarten (not pre-kindergarten or begindergarten) through eighth grade.
Registration sessions are being held at the following times and locations.
Players on Niles teams may register at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 20 or Saturday, Jan. 27.
Registration fees are $30 per player or $50 for a family of two or more players in the same household. Mail-in registrations are strongly encouraged. Player registration forms can be downloaded from www.nilesoptimist.org. Registration forms are also available and being accepted at the front desk of the Niles-Buchanan YMCA.
The deadline for all player registrations is Jan. 31. After that date a late fee of $10 per player will be assessed. There is no guarantee that spots will be available for players who register after the deadline.
