Richard W. Pelkey, 82, of Bertrand Road in Niles, died at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Saint Joseph, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles, with Pastor Daniel A. Greegor of Sumnerville Bible Baptist Church officiating. Concluding the service will be a Flag Presentations and Taps by the American Legion Post No. 26 of Niles.
Burial will take place in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in the memory of Richard W. Pelkey may be made to the American Cancer Society.
