Windy, cold conditions can’t stop Bobcats

NILES – The Brandywine boys and girls cross country teams competed well at the Sturgis Kiwanis Invitational Saturday in cold, windy conditions.
In the boy's race, Tyler Weeden finished sixth with a time of 18:17. Dan DeVos was 11th with a time of 19:11, Cameron Roth was 12th with a time of 19:12 and Tom Buzzard was 31st with a time of 21:42.
In the girl's race, Caylin Garrard finished 17th with a time of 23:35. Nicole Taylor was 36th with a time of 29:39 and Bethany Fortier was 38th with a time of 32:35.
The Bobcats will hit the course today when they travel to River Valley to run against the Mustangs and Berrien Springs.
On Saturday, Brandywine will be hosting the 35th annual cross country invitational. Race times begin at 10 a.m.
