THREE OAKS – Matt Peters rushed for 158 yards and scored three touchdowns as the visiting Edwardsburg Eddies blanked River Valley 39-0 on Friday night.
The win was the second of the season for the Eddies, who are now 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the Lakeland Conference.
Peters scored a pair of first quarter touchdowns on runs of 2- and 34-yards. His third touchdown came in the third quarter on a 6-yard run.
Also scoring for the Eddies were Monty Ort on a 13-yard run in the second quarter, Kyle Poe on a 36-yard run in the fourth quarter, and Taylor Ort on an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The Eddies finished the night with 386 yards rushing and 428 yards in total offense. River Valley managed just 134 yards in total offense.
Ort finished with 86 yards rushing, while Justin Smith caught one pass for 42 yards. The Eddies were just 1-of-4 through the air.
Monty Ort led the Eddies defensively with 12 tackles.
Edwardsburg will take on Buchanan on Friday night in another Lakeland Conference clash.
