The Dowagiac freshmen and junior varsity basketball teams both knocked off visiting Allegan on Thursday.
The Chieftain freshmen squad posted a 50-29 win over the Lady Tigers, while the junior varsity edged Allegan, 39-33.
Freshmen basketball
Kalen Nickens scored 17 points to lead Dowagiac to the victory.
The Chieftains also got eight points from Cassandra Stone and seven points from Yasmine Chambliss. Leana Allen and Marcie Ennesser both finished with five points.
JV basketball
Brittany Gnatz scored nine points and Kayleigh Hutchings eight points as Dowagiac picked up its first victory of the season.
Ashley Winters added six points.
