Cedar Lane softball team wraps up season

NILES - The Cedar Lane softball team wrapped up a very short season on Wednesday as it fell to Galien in two games.
In the first game Cedar Lane fell 22-15, but had some very strong offensive hitting.
Steve Murray, who was named Most Valuable Softball Player, had two home runs, a grand slam and nine RBIs.
Ryan Wetzel had two doubles and three RBIs, CJ MaCaslin had two singles and two RBIs and Kim Vogelsang had a double and a RBI.
In the second game, Cedar Lane fell 23-14, but again had a strong showing at the plate.
Murray had two more home runs, a double and six RBIs. Maggie Wilson and Jasmine White each had a double and a RBI. Jason York had two singles and two RBIs, Jamie Hendryx had a double, single and a RBI and Brieona Maxwell had a double and two RBIs.
