Eddies no match for Viking track and field teams

NILES - The Niles High School boys and girls track teams both picked up victories Monday evening against visiting Edwardsburg in a non-conference meet.
The boys defeated the Eddies 127-33 and the girls took a 114-39 win.
First place finishers for the boys in field events were David Davis with a height of 7-feet-9 in the pole vault. Quinton Murphy had a leap of 17-feet-4 in the long jump. Paul DePoy had a throw of 39-feet-6 in the shot put and Kirk Poehlman had a height of 5-feet-9 in the high jump.
In running events, the 3200 relay team finished with a time of 9:19. The 800 relay team had a time of 1:34. The 400 relay team had a time of 48.80 and the 1600 relay team had a time of 3:34.
Isaiah Glaze finished the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.96 and the 200 meter dahs with a time of 23.23.
Stephen Scally had a time of 5:00 in the 1600 run and a time of 11:57 in the 3200 run and CJ Rumpf finished with 400 meter dash with a time of 51.39.
In girls field events, Elizabeth Durm had a height of 6-foot-3 in the pole vault. Kaylynn Stephenson had a leap of 11-feet-11 in the long jump. Ashley Austin had a throw of 33-feet-7 in the shot put. Alex Ranft had a height of 4-feet-5 in the high jump and Ashley Roland had a throw of 95-feet-1 in the discus.
In running events, the Lady Vikings finished the 3200 relay with a time of 11:44, the 800 relay with a time of 1:58, the 400 relay with a time of 55.23.
Tasha Webster finished the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.52. Nicole Horvath had a time of 18.04 in the 100 hurdles. Sam Brawley finished first in the 1600 run ad Brawley and Autumn Grayson tied for first in the 800 run for Niles.
