Easy tourney for Lady Cats Saturday

NILES - Almost every sporting event scheduled for Saturday was canceled due to the weather.
However, the Brandywine varsity softball team managed to squezze in two games at its own Brandywine Invitational Tournament.
The Bobcats, now 22-6 overall, had no problems with their opponents, defetaing Hudson 15-0 and Hartford 9-1.
Kelli Zache was the winning pitcher in both contests, throwing a combined 17 strikeouts and allowing just one walk and four hits.
Top hitters for the day were Angela Newman with a triple, two doubles and one RBI, Brooke Coshow had two doubles, a single and a RBI and Zache had a home run and three RBIs.
