Lady Vikes golf team grabs another win

NILES - Niles put an exclamation mark on its Big 16 Conference West Division golf championship on Monday afternoon at Blossomland Trails in Benton Harbor with another victory.
The Lady Vikings shot 217 to defeat host St. Joseph by seven strokes. The Lady Bears finished with a 224. Dowagiac was third with a 237, while Benton Harbor was fourth with a 298.
Brandie Radde shot a 52, while Amanda Gamso and Kelsey Neilson both shot 54 to lead the Lady Vikings.
Carly Gantt, who shot a 56, led Dowagiac. Jesse Oprea finished with a 59, while Brittany Munson and Brooke Lamb shot 60 and 62 respectively. Tonya Scherer finished with a 65 for the Chiefs.
Dowagiac will head back to the links on Friday when it travels to South Haven for a match slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
Niles is back in action on Monday at the SMAC Meet, which begins at 9 a.m.
