NILES - Monday evening the Niles varsity soccer team faced Lakeshore in a Big 16 West Division match and fell to the Lancers 4-1.
Freshman Maegan Horn scored the only goal for the Vikings from a corner kick.
In the Dowagiac tournament on Saturday, Niles fell to River Valley 2-1 in a shootout to end the game.
The teams played 30 minute halfs. Niles dominated River Valley, but found it hard to finish at the goal.
Dakota Price scored for the Vikings with an assist from Courtney Teske. Niles defeated Dowagiac 1-0 in the tournament. The assist was from Allyssa Booe.
Niles will travel to Benton Harbor on Wednesday for another Big 16 game.
