To establish a more relaxing and attractive waiting room for oncology patients and their support persons, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary recently donated 12 chairs to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
Auxiliary members Mary Alice Giles, Martha Cox and President Gladys Smith, helped with the project.
Established in 1982, the Auxiliary operates the gift shop through its volunteers.
Open Monday through Friday, all proceeds from the shop are used to purchase various items, such as the oncology waiting room chairs, to enhance the overall atmosphere and quality of care provided at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital.
Currently, the Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary includes 45 members.
Those interested in volunteering with the Auxiliary should contact Gladys Smith at 269/783-3006.
For more than 85 years, Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital has delivered wide-ranging services across Dowagiac and Cass County, from cardiac and primary care to rehabilitation and diagnostic imaging.
A member of Borgess Health, the largest health care provider in southwest Michigan, the hospital also has the resources to offer specialized, nationally recognized medicine.
