NILES - Niles' Todd Scansen turned the tables on Lakeshore's Josh Jackson on Saturday to capture the 140-pound Division 2 individual district championship.
Scansen was one of five Vikings to advance to the regional tournament on Saturday at Comstock High School.
Scansen, who lost the Big 16 Conference championship a week ago to Jackson, and defeated him on Thursday as the Lancers captured the team district championship, picked up a 4-2 win to claim the title.
Jack Glueckert (112) and Mason Stephenson (135) were both runners-up on Saturday and move on to the regional.
Also advancing were Derek Purcell (145) and Chad Nichols (275).
Nichols and Purcell both finished third.
Glueckert dropped a 2-0 decision to Sean Schmitt of Kalamazoo Loy Norrix, while Stephenson was defeated by two-time defending state champion Ryan Lucas of Three Rivers, 19-4.
The Vikings wrestled without freshman 103-pounder Nate Allison, who was attending his grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary in the Dominican Republic.
Lakeshore advanced eight wrestlers to the regionals on Saturday, including champions Brad LeValley (152) and Matt Wittman (171).
