Jail linked to court by video

CASSOPOLIS - Installation of a video arraignment system linking the Cass County Jail to the Fourth District courtroom was completed Thursday, Interim County Administrator Kerry Collins reported to the Board of Commissioners.
On another of four projects on which he updated the commission, Collins said Clerk-Register Barb Wilson received four requests for proposals for digital imaging of documents.
Field work for the energy audit was also conducted Thursday, Collins reported. “We hope to have something back to review with you in the next few weeks.”
Finally, upgrading jail doors by replacing the security system.
