NILES - On Thursday, Dennis Cooper, chair person for player development for the Lakeshore Region of USA Volleyball and program director for Krush Volleyball Club, will be traveling to Colorado Springs, Colo. for coaches training at the Olympic Training Center.
Besides going to the clinic sessions, Dennis attends meetings regarding administering the Regional High performance program.
The High Performance program is what USA Volleyball has in place as their "pipeline" to the US National Teams.
Last year, Cooper's Krush Volleyball team had two players qualify and attend National camps.
Nikki Cooper went to San Fransisco for the her age group and Missy Cooper went to Kalamazoo for the High Performnce age group. Both are Coopers daughters.
The team also had Laura Youngquist attend the Regional High Performance Camp in Lansing.
The USA Volleyball High Performance program is a national program coordinated by USA Volleyball for the player identification and development pipeline leading up to the USA Women's National and Olympic teams. The program goals are to teach the techniques and systems of the women's national team to developing players.
