CASSOPOLIS - The board of the Economic Development Corp. voted to extend the closing of the Edward Lowe Business Development Center from Feb. 1, until April 1, 2006.
The board received an offer to purchase the building and will use this additional time to investigate.
It is the board's desire that prospective purchasers would continue to operate the business incubator.
This would further the EDC's economic development goals of supporting start-up businesses and providing employment to local citizens.
The corporation ordered an appraisal on the property and will be meeting with its legal counsel in January. If you have any questions, please contact Chairman Ron Francis at 445-3744.
