Pair rob store at gunpoint

NILES - Niles City Police are looking for two men who robbed at gunpoint a cashier at the Lucky 7 convenience store on Thursday.
Police said the pair escaped with an undetermined amount of money.
At about 2:31 p.m. on Thursday, the cashier at the store, which is located at 421 Grant Street, called 9-1-1 advising of the armed robbery.
When a Niles City police officer arrived on the scene moments later, the suspects had fled.
The cashier described the men as both being dark-skinned black males, both between 5 foot 8 and 5 foot 11 inches tall, both being heavy set, 200 to 250 pounds.
The cashier told police the man who pointed the handgun had a noticeable scar acrosss the bridge of his nose.
The suspects were observed leaving in a mid-size gray or silver vehicle with an Indiana license plate, which was parked on State Street near Grant.
Police said no one was injured during the robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to call Niles City Police at 683-1313. The caller's name will be kept confidential, police said.
Michigan State Police from Niles Post 53 also responded to the armed robbery call.
