NILES - One of America's most popular school assemblies made a stop at Brandywine Elementary in Niles on Monday afternoon.
Trent Thomas combines yo-yos, humor and audience participation to teach students three valuable characteristics involved in becoming champions in school and life.
Thomas shared a story about his friend, Ned. In the story, Ned is faced with many obstacles and is encouraged to overcome them with the positive encouragement of others, but Ned often thought his way of dealing with things was the best.
The second saying Thomas taught the students is, “E”ncourage others.
The final saying of the N-E-D acronym was “D”o your best. Thomas encouraged the students to do their best in everything they pursue.
