NILES - A Niles man is lucky enough to have been chosen to have his classic car featured in an award winning calendar.
The 1932 Ford Highboy of Steve Crocker of Niles is being featured in the 2006 edition of the popular Snap-on Snapshots wall calendar.
It took Crocker about four months from start to finish to build the car.
Currently Crocker is working on 1965 Chevy Corvette. He just loves working on old cars as he likes their style much better than the newer cars.
The Snapshots calendar was originally developed by Snap-on Tools in 1996 to complement its continual effort to promote the professionalism and integrity of today's automotive technicians.
The calendar features the skills and locality of Snap-on customers by featuring their custom and classic vehicles which have been created, restored or maintained.
The car owners submit photographs of their custom and classic vehicles. Then a network of enthusiasts go over the vehicle entries and finally select those vehicles which will be featured in the calendar.
For more information on how to enter a vehicle into consideration for the calendar, or to purchase a calendar call the Snapshots calendar department at (262) 513-2400.
