NILES - The Niles Community Schools Board of Education voted Monday evening to change its regular board meeting originally scheduled for Monday, Nov. 21, to Monday, Nov. 14.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Oak Manor Sixth Grade Center, which will give the board a chance to see the new high tech classrooms at the building.
In order to meet state timelines for putting the bond proposal on the Feb. 28, 2006 ballot, the board last month approved a special meeting for Nov. 14.
Doug Law, superintendent of the Niles Community Schools and Bob Wright, director of business and finance for the district will travel to Lansing on Wednesday, to talk with the Michigan Department of Treasury to talk about the exact language of the proposal.
