NILES - Brandywine's seventh grade basketball team ended its season with a perfect 12-0 record this year.
The team competes with the all of the junior high schools involved in the Lakeland Conference and had an average score of 30-12.
Teams included Buchanan, Cassopolis, Edwardsburg, Bridgman, River Valley, Coloma and Berrien Springs.
Sidenbender also admitted that this is his first year ever coaching a girls sport, which made things a little different for him.
Another positive note to this year's squad is that it is the first year in a long time that a junior high Bobcat team has went undefeated.
Both Sidenbender and Athletic Director Vance Stratton said that no one can figure out when the last undefeated season was.
So, what made this team such a big threat? Well, talent, for one, but another advantage was the team's height.
The tallest player, Teila Smith, stands 5-foot-8, and many of the other players stand between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-7.
