Brandywine soccer team takes third place in LAC

NILES - Brandywine's varsity soccer team claimed third place in the Lakeland Conference Wednesday afternoon with a 5-4 win over Berrien Springs.
The Shamrocks took first lead when Chabu Chapi scored a goal during the second minute on an assist from Isaac Thumbalamato.
Kyle Low tied it at one when he punched the ball in the net on an assist from Travis Duncan during the fourth minute.
Another Bobcat goal from Matt Beaver on an assist from Matt Wieger gave Brandywine a 2-1 lead during the 13th minute.
Duncan was able to extend the lead to 3-1 when he scored a goal during the 27th minute on an assist from Beaver.
Low opened up the second half scoring with a goal at the 42nd minute on an assist from Wieger.
Berrien Spring's Thumbalamato added the Shamrocks' second goal of the game during the 46th minute to bring the score to 4-2.
Another Low goal during the 49th minute on an assist from Beaver brought the score to 5-2.
The Shamrocks scored the last two goals of the game, one during the 71st minute from Joseph Kofi Yeboah and the other from Thumbalamato during the 79th minute to bring the final score to 5-4.
Game time is set to begin at 7 p.m. on Brandywine's home field.
