NILES - The sound of bell ringing will soon fill the air as the Salvation Army begins its annual activity to raise funds.
This year, the Salvation Army's bell ringing will begin on Friday, Nov. 25, which is the day after Thanksgiving.
Walters is currently looking for people who would like to volunteer their time ringing bells.
The bell ringing position is strictly volunteer, there are no paid positions.
If interested in volunteering, contact Walters at (269) 684-2660.
Bell ringers will be posted at several local businesses, including Wal-Mart Supercenter, Harding's Market, Big Lots and Legus Shell in Niles.
In Dowagiac, they will be outside Felpausch Food Centers.
All of the funds raised through the bell ringers' efforts will go to help fund the Salvation Army's programs through out the remainder of the year.
