Bucks stay perfect in LAC

BUCHANAN -Buchanan's boys' cross country team improved its record to 4-0 in the Lakeland Conference Monday afternoon, when the Bucks hosted and defeated both Bridgman and River Valley.
Buchanan took a 15-48 win over the Mustnags and a 20-37 win over the Bees.
Harper Sulier finished first overall for the Bucks with his time of 18:59.
Bridgman's Evan Eanaretlek took second place with a time of 19:40 and Buchanan's Nick Wheetley took third with a time of 20:01.
Jon Borr grabbed a fourth place finish for the Bucks with his time of 20:16, Jon Young took fifth with a time of 20:39 and Bryant Miller ended with a seventh place finish with a time of 21:12.
River Valley had one runner in the top 10, Josh Babcock, with a time of 21:55, earning him 10th place.
In the girls' race, the Lady Bucks were victorious over Bridgman, 20-41, but suffered a one-point loss to River Valley, 27-28.
Ellen Siemon finished first overall for the Bucks with her time of 23:37.
Jessica Foster finished second for the Bees with a time of 24:19 and Trisha Horak finished third for the Mustangs with a time of 24:45.
Erica Curti ended with a fouth place finish for Buchanan with her time of 24:54.
Kristina Lemon grabbed an eighth place finish for the Bucks with a time of 26:30, Andrea Hemminger finished ninth with a time of 26:36 and Amanda Lesch finished 10th with her time of 27:10.
The Lady Bucks are now 3-1 in the conference.
