Niles tennis takes win over Cass

NILES - Don't let the final score fool you.
Host Niles swept Cassopolis in a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon 8-0.
But when you look closely at the scores, the Lady Rangers gave the Lady Vikings quite a fight.
Annalee Nelson defeated Brittany Polmateer at No. 1 singles 6-3 and 6-3, while Nicole Negron defeated Kelli Klimek at No. 2 singles 6-4 and 7-5.
Andrea Clabaugh defeated Cally Hass at No. 3 singles 6-1 and 6-2, while at No. 4 singles Nicole Weber defeated Qatisha Stevenson 6-1 and 6-2.
In doubles matches, Sam Beck and Danielle Lowery defeated Symone Pompey and Samantha Vlasicak 6-3 and 7-5.
At No. 2 doubles, Heather Croteau and Patty Anton defeated Krista Jessup and Carmalita Peake 6-0 and 6-0.
Hillary Landgraf and Meagan Horn defeated Candace Smith and Nicole Green at No. 3 doubles 6-2 and 6-3.
At No. 4 doubles, Ashley Jenks and Kyra Carpenter defeated Amy Bloss and Tiffany Westphal 6-3 and 6-1.
The Lady Vikes will compete in the SMAC tourney on Saturday.
