CASSOPOLIS - The Cass County Council on Aging is celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month with and Awareness Day Tuesday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to noon.
A breast cancer survivor will be on hand to talk about her experiences in dealing with the disease that is expected to kill more than 40,500 women and men this year.
There will also be handout information available on nutrition and cancer links and a demonstration on how to perform a breast self exam.
There will have a wall of celebration to journal personal experiences and messages of encouragement, as well as free massages and yoga class to strengthen the mind-body connection.
Refreshments will be served, and those attending can register to win door prizes.
