Buchanan netters defeat Coloma, 8-0

NILES - Buchanan's varsity tennis team took an 8-0 win on the road Monday afternoon against host Coloma in Lakeland Conference action.
Robyn Bahr, a player who is usually seen in doubles flights, took a 6-1 and 6-0 win at No. 1 singles against Roehn Geozzales.
No. 1 singles player Nicole Moyer is out due to an injury.
At No. 2 singles, Kayla Nelson grabbed a 6-0 and 6-0 win over Samantha Johndrow.
Holly Lucas was victorious at No. 3 singles against Amanda Miller, 6-0 and 6-0 and Joey Dreitzler took a 6-1 and 6-0 win at No. 4 singles against Casey Ely.
In doubles action, Katrina Weldy and Courtney Miller took a 6-0 and 6-0 win against Katrina Immoos and Alex Greco at No. 1 doubles.
The No. 2 doubles team of Brianna Weldy and Mary Martin took a 6-0 and 6-0 win over Amber Timm and Hannah Grotendors.
Sam Harner and Aleischa Shepard grabbed a 6-1 and 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles over Amanda Immoos and Amanda Caretentuo and Gina Sebasty and Anna Ferris took a 6-0 and 6-1 win over Vicky Allen and Whittley Dillenbeck at No. 4 doubles.
Buchanan will return to the court today when it hosts Schoolcraft for a non-conference match set to begin at 4 p.m.
On Friday, the Bucks will begin conference play at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind. Match times are set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
