Dowagiac cross country team finishes 10th at Bangor Invitational

The Dowagiac boys' cross country team finished fourth at the Bangor Invitational on Saturday.
Bangor won the meet with 71 points, while Plainwell was second with 79 points.
Nick Tecca of Parchment was first with a time of 16:37.
Brad Lee led Dowagiac with a 13th place finish and a time of 18:15 to earn a medal.
Jason Tabbert was 21st (18:32), Adam Hess 26th (18:54), Evan Bressler 28th (18:57), Clay Hewitt 29th (19:04), Andrew Cuthbert 46th (19:39) and Mike Kasper 49th (19:51).
The Chieftains were 11th in the girl's race which was won by Allegan with 56 points.
Samantha Draney of Allegan was the winner with a time of 19:56.
Crissy Huff was 50th to lead the Chieftains with a time of 25:29.
Kayla Saviano was 51st (25:29.2), Katie Hewitt 58th (26:05), Chelsey Preston 70th (27:21) and Catie Hamilton 71st (27:23).
In the boys' junior varsity race Oscar Azevedo earned a medal with a ninth place finish and a time of 20:25.
Tony Saviano was 17th in 22:30 and Matt Gross 19th with a time of 23:33.
Dowagiac will run in the Battle Creek Invitational on Saturday.
