This past weekend was a great one for a lot of area high school teams.
On Saturday, Brandywine's tennis team grabbed first place honors at the Albion Invitational. Three singles players and eight doubles players earned first place finishes in what was the Bobcat's best performance of the year.
Brandywine remains undefeated so far this season.
Buchanan's tennis team put on a good performance at the Dowagiac Invitational on Saturday.
The Bucks tied for second place with Three Rivers and picked up three championships, as it took home the first three doubles flight titles.
Niles' cross country team also had one of its best showings this past weekend at the Centreville Invitational, where the Vikes took fifth place out of nine teams.
Samantha Brawley was the overall winner and Niles had two other runners, Liz VandenHeede and Autumn Grayson, place in the top 20.
All teams will continue competition this week.
Keep posted with the Daily Star for complete results.
Congratulations to all teams on a great weekend of sports!
