Vikings take fifth at Centreville

NILES - The Niles girls' cross country team finished fifth this past weekend at the Centreville Invitational in one of its best showings so far this season.
Sophomore Sam Brawley was the overall winner, taking home the champion t-shirt for her time of 20:41.
Top 20 finishers were freshman Liz VandenHeede, who finished sixth with a time of 22:05, and sophomore Autumn Grayson, who finished 20th with a time of 23:51.
Other Niles runners were Tami Madison, who finished 46th with a time of 26:29; Nikki Horvath, who finished 50th with a time of 27:24; Mehgen Flynn, who finished 56th with a time of 27:49; Amanda Smith, who finished 59th with a time of 28:18; and Chelsea Clark , who finished 64th with a time of 30:32.
The Vikes return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Berrien Springs to compete in the Berrien Springs Invitational.
