Brandywine tennis team first at Albion Invitational

NILES - Brandywine's tennis team shows no signs of giving in anytime soon.
On Saturday, the Lady 'Cats traveled to the Albion Invitational, where they grabbed first place honors with a total of 29 teams points.
Eaton Rapids finished behind Brandywine with a total team score of 24, Albion took third with a score of 17 and Fowlerville finished fourth with a score of 10.
Medaling for Brandywine were Amy Konopinski who took first place at No. 1 singles; Amelia Harrison, who took first at No. 2 singles; and Brittany Patterson, who took first at No. 3 singles.
First place finishers in doubles play were Bethany Daniel and Ashley Valentine at No. 1 doubles, Erin Sinkoff and Jamie Bartuska at No. 2 doubles, Erin Fuson and Samantha Quartuccio at No. 3 doubles and Morgan Bailey and Jo Ferenczi at No. 4 doubles.
Brandywine, which remains undefeated so far this season, will return to the court on Tuesday when it hosts Coloma at 4 p.m. for a Lakeland Conference match.
