Edwardsburg slips past South Haven, 12-7

SOUTH HAVEN - The Edwardsburg varsity football team squared its record at 1-1 with a 12-7 victory over host South Haven on Thursday, Sept. 1.
Edwardsburg opened up a 12-0 lead on the Rams with a pair of first half touchdowns.
David Daniels scored on a 45-yard interception return to open the scoring, while Ben Horton scored on a seven-yard run in the second quarter.
Both extra point attempts failed for the Eddies.
South Haven cut the lead to 12-7 when Neil Jordan scored on an 8-yard run.
Edwardsburg finished with 174 yards rushing, while the Rams had 123 yards rushing.
Edwardsburg finished with 35 yards via the air, while the Rams threw for 65 yards.
