Sam Henry Fowlkes, 89, of Grand Boulevard, died of natural causes at home at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005.
His family gathered with friends on Sunday, Sept. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Groner Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
His funeral was Monday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church led by his grandson Pastor Tonnie Blackamore.
Sam was to be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery today, Sept. 6, at 10 a.m.
