NILES - An accident occurred this morning at approximately 7 a.m., north of Pucker Street on M-51 North, near Niles, when a vehicle struck a power line, according to police. Niles Township Police and Fire Departments, along with the Michigan State Police and SMCAS Ambulance service responded to the scene.
The road was closed for a short time as crews from American Electric Power fixed the downed power line.
No other information was available at presstime.
