All-Stars eliminated

The District 15 Big League Softball All-Stars split a pair of games on Monday and was eliminated from the Central Regional tournament in Pinery Park near Grand Rapids.
District 15 defeated Wisconsin 5-2 in the first game on Monday to improve to 2-1 in round robin play.
The All-Stars, however, were then defeated 1-0 by undefeated Michigan District 9, the host team.
District 9 advances to the best of three portion of the tournament which begins today with a pair of games against Indiana.
If a third game is needed it will be played on Wednesday.

Maureen Pickar picked up the pitching victory as she allowed just two hits.
District 15 finished with seven hits, including two by Kim Luthringer and Adie Groff.

District 9 scored the game's lone run in the top half of the sixth inning.
Krystle Bailey's two-out double proved to be the game-winner.
Brittney Reist took the loss despite tossing a four-hitter.
Luthringer had one of four hits for District 15.
