Motor mania packs the stands

CASSOPOLIS - The grandtands were full Tuesday evening with fans anxious to watch the regional and state national tractor and truck pulls, which took place at the Cass County Fair.
Drivers from Michigan, Indiana and Ohio competed for their shot at winning a title in three different categories.

The regional and state national tractor and truck pulls were sponsored by Bender Electric, Bentzer Enterprises, Blast-It, llc, Bud Distributing, Edd's Supply, Go-Gas Propane, Inc., Keesler Trucking , Klett Construction, Maisco Irrigation, Service Oil Company, Walker's Farm &Garden, Zolman Tire, Judd Lumber and Company Rental Center.
The Pure Stock Truck Pull will take place on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Also on Saturday, Circus Continental will perform a show at 1 and 5 p.m. Tickets are only $1.
Saturday is Family $1 day at the fair from 12 – 6 p.m..
Admission, rides and special food items will all be available for $1.
Tonight at 7 the SJO Super Cross Championship Series will take place.
On Thursday, get ready for more Demolition Derby action at 7:30 p.m.
On Friday, J Bar J NABA Bull Mania will take place at 7:30 p.m. Franklin Lenox
Franklin Lenox, 71, of Nieb Street, Niles, died at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, at Lakeland Hospital, Niles, of an illness.
Arrangements are pending at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
