NILES - Show some support for the community of Niles and make some dreams come true.
If you haven't heard the good news yet, then you are about to. The city of Niles has been chosen by casting directors from the new NBC reality show Three Wishes, to see if there is an interest by the community for the show to come here.
City officials are in support of the city being chosen by Three Wishes.
At the regular Niles City Council meeting on July 11, the council adopted a resolution unanimously to support going forth with wish nominations.
The council is supporting three specific wishes to help the community of Niles. The three wishes are the acquisition and restoration of the Ready Theater to single stage performing arts theater, completion of the downtown facade project and the completion of the streetscape project in the downtown district.
The casting directors were doing some research and found Niles and thought it would be an excellent place to do the show.
The casting directors are currently asking community members to send them suggestions as quickly as possible of possible wishes that should be granted.
The show is looking for wishes that are something different and compelling.
Getting a large number of wishes is what Kitter and her team want, because that shows the community is truly interested in the show.
No wish is too big or too small for Three Wishes to grant, but they would like to stress that they are unable to grant wishes such as paying off medical bills and making over homes.
To nominate a deserving person, organization or something in the city of Niles, go to www.nbc.com and at the bottom of the page there is a contestants like which you should select and there is an application to fill out.
