Man saved from choking

NILES - At approximately 5:30 p.m. July 16, 2005, Officers of the Niles Township Police Department were dispatched to 2433 Bond Street in Niles Township on a report of an older male choking.
Upon arrival at this location, Office Dan Nelson found William Klasner on the floor unable to breathe. Office Nelson then performed four abdominal thrusts on Klasner and was able to dislodge the maternal that was obstructing his airway, allowing him to breathe.
SMCAS then arrived at this location and transported Klasner to Lakeland in Niles.
