Dowagiac falls, 16-8

The Dowagiac 11-year-old All-Stars are now 1-1 in District 15 Little League playoff action.
Dowagiac was an 18-9 winner over Schoolcraft Monday night in Niles.
Tuesday night the All-Stars dropped to 1-1 in round robin play after a 16-8 loss to South Haven at Russom Fields.
Against South Haven, Joey Pasternak had two hits to lead Dowagiac.
Also picking up hits were Craig Zebell, Mason Morales, Logan Pellow and Ryan Smit.
Hazen McMeeken took the loss on the mound.
In Monday's victory, McMeeken had three hits including a double and three RBIs.
Morales, Smit and Ryan Dyke all had two hits.
Pasternak, and Jacob Williams both doubled, while Zebell tripled.
Williams, who was the winning pitcher, also had three RBIs.
