Cycle hits deer in LaGrange Twp.

CASSOPOLIS - Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports that his deputies handled a personal-injury accident on O'Keefe Road, just south of Dutch Settlement Street, in LaGrange Township at 2:08 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.
According to a witness, a motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Mark Donoho of Eau Claire was traveling south on O'Keefe when a deer jumped out in front of him.
The driver had no time to react and collided with the deer.
Also on the motorcycle wasMeredith Hosking, 24, of Downers Grove, Ill.
Both individuals were transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial in Dowagiac for treatment of their injuries.
Both riders were wearing helmets.
Cass Ambulance, Dowagiac Ambulance and Wayne Fire assisted on the scene.
Alcohol was not a factor.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
