Dowagiac gets sweep

The Dowagiac Orange swept a doubleheader from visting Constantine Friday night.
Dowagiac, now 17-1 on the season, won the first game 15-0 and then took the nightcap, 9-3.
In the opening game, Dowagiac scored four runs in the first, five runs in the second, two runs in the third and four runs in the fourth inning.
Stephanie Grabemeyer struck out seven in three innings of work. Brooke Means struck out three in one inning of work.
Dowagiac, which finished with 12 hits, got two each from Tasia Diaz, Grabemeyer, Linzy Kling and Kara Roberts.
In the second game, Dowagiac scored five runs in the first and four runs in the fourth.
Constantine scored two runs in the second and a run in the third.
Dowagiac finished with 11 hits in the nightcap. Michele Dowsett, Roberts and Haley Richter each had two hits.
Grabemeyer struck out three in two innings of work. Means pitched two innings, striking out five.
