NILES - Chris Rucker, internationally recognized health educator, will be the featured speaker and "Health Chef" for the Health Quest Weekend, June 4-5, at the Niles Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Rucker is a frequent wellness and lifestyle consultant for corporations, service clubs, health agencies, and professional conventions. Her seminars on smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition-based cooking, exercise and stress reduction are recommended by the American Cancer Society and the American Lung Society.
She is the co-author of "How America's Healthiest People Live Longer and Better" and "Fat Busters", an easy-to-follow guide for reducing body fat through balanced meals and circuit training.
Session One: "Healthy People Live Longer" starts Saturday at 11 a.m and ends at 1 p.m.
Session Two: "Healthy People Live Better" opens Saturday, at 5:30 and runs until 6:45 p.m.
Session Three: "Fat Busters Lifestyle and Food Demonstration" is on Sunday morning, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. a $15 fee will be charged for this session.
