Joseph Rufus Winchester, 78, of Sister Lakes, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2005, at his residence with his family by his side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Leo A. Taubitz, officiating.
Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery.
His family will receive friends from 3 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 followed by a tribal pipe ceremony.
Joseph's life began Feb. 24, 1927, in Dowagiac.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph R. Winchester Scholarship Fund.
