Hernandez continues to lead in scoring

Dowagiac Diamonds United's Ishmael Hernandez continues to lead the Blossomland Soccer League in scoring.
Hernandez has seven goals for the league's only undefeated squad.
Troy Sink of Athletic Jaier F.C. and Jay Fettig of the St. Joe Kickers both faix six goals.
Dowagiac Chiefs' Kyle Kowalski is fourth in scoring with three goals.
There are 16 players with two goals including Dowagiac's David Cardinas, Chaiwa Chende, Rodrigo Fuentes, Octavio Hernandez, Rodolfo Hernandez, Samuel Hernandez and Jonatan Martinez.
Cardinas and Chende play for the Chiefs, while the remaining players are listed on the Diamonds United roster.
Diamonds United and the Kickers are now tied with 21 goals, while Jaier is third in scoring with 14 goals. The Chiefs have 10 goals.
On Monday night, the St. Joe Kickers blanked the Mariners 12-0 Monday night in Blossomland Soccer League play.
Scoring goals for the Kickers were Trent Frank, Nick Sherrill, Jay Fettig and Aaron Haack with two each.
Also scoring were Chris Hammermeister, Justin Bielger, Josh Saleeby and Nick Kincaid.
Tim Smith recorded the shut out.
The Kickers are now 2-0-1, while the Mariners are now 0-4.
Action continues on Wednesday with a pair of matches.
Diamonds United will face the Tornadoes at Andrews Academy, while P&R F.C. will face Whirlpool United at Ott Field in Bridgman.
There will will be no weekend games. Action will continue Wednesday, June 1 when the Mariners take on the Chiefs at Ott Field. All matches are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
