Cedar Lane ends season perfect

NILES - Cedar Lane's softball team ended its season on Friday with three wins to keep it undefeated this season.
The team, who ended 6-0 overall, swept Bangor in two games winning the first game 6-5 and the second game 6-0. In the third game the team faced Watervliet and at the end of the second inning it had a 20-1 lead, forcing Watervliet to stop the game.
Cedar Lane got some big hitting throughout the day from Wyatt Hickey who had a home run, three triples and seven RBIs, Marissa Pitts had three singles, a double and five RBIs, Zoe Richard had three singles and three RBIs, Stephen Stewart with a double, two singles and four RBIs, Jeremy Kirschbaum with a triple, double, single and five RBIs, Peter Richard with a triple, two doubles, a single and four RBIs, Kelly Davis with a double, two singles and two RBIs and Jason York with a double, two singles and three RBIs.
Pitts, Davis, Hickey, Richard and Stewart all played their last game for the team as all our seniors.
Coach Barnhart hopes to form an actual softball league next year. His basketball team will return to action in the fall.
